I know that placing art and money in the same sentence can be a little traumatic for some. But if you are an artist, you need to know that you have options – to show your work, to build a following, and to make money. In general, your options are to either find professional representation like galleries or agents to display and promote your work, or to take matters into your own hands and control it yourself. This is where The Unconventional Guide to Art + Money comes in.

Mixing art and money

Selling and marketing can be a big obstacle for many artists. Somehow it just doesn’t jive with the creative and emotional world of art. But as Zoë and Chris explain in the Anti-Marketing Approach section, marketing on the internet is nothing like marketing in the offline world.
