Comment Policy

Comments are the discussion portion of the blog post. This is where we share our knowledge, our experiences, our thoughts, our ideas. They are as important as the post itself and often more so.

I want this blog to be a safe place for healthy discussion and debate so I will monitor comments for the unhealthy stuff. Because it is monitored, there will be a delay from the time you submit the comment and the time it is displayed on the site. I will do my best to get them up as soon as possible.

Comments that help everyone:

  • on topic and relevant
  • add value to both the conversation and to your own reputation
  • respectful in tone and language
  • a relevant link is helpful as long as you explain where the link goes and why it is relevant
  • signatures are allowed (three lines) as long as the comment is relevant

Comments not in the spirit of the above may be not be approved.

(Note: Comments in a language other than English will not be approved simply because I can’t tell if they follow the above policy.)
